How To Fight Loneliness
Fill up the empty silences with music Keep yourself distracted with TV shows and movies Have books as your company, your temporary escape from reality Sleep through the daylight, feel the days blur into each other
Ah, the inevitable loneliness summer brings

I had the blues but I shook them loose
Late Nights in my little space. My room is chill and home-y, I guess. It’s still a project I’m working on, though - still got to decorate and personalize it up a bit more (like add framed paintings/artworks/design/pictures, quirky stuff etc.), buy some more room furniture, fill the room up with all the art shit/film shit/books I hoarded and whatnot. I really have to drop by Heima one...

Manila Zoo & Big Bad Wolf
Spent an interesting day in the Zoo with my friend, Zhiela. I was really glad because I haven’t been to a zoo in YEARS. I felt like a kid all over again. Although I don’t really like animals in general, I still felt giddy to see them. Hahahaha.
Mali the Elephant!! I don’t think I’ve ever been so attached to an animal. :( Set Mali freeeee! Seeing this elephant...

Art in The Park 2013
Been feeling very inspired lately, so I decided to drag my artsy friend, Zhiela, to Art in the Park! Figured we needed art and creativity in our lives more, now that we’re in college. Definitely motivated us to continue being artists!
The place was full of artists, both young and old. Was definitely a different vibe. EWS was there also, oh my gaaahhhh. So sad I didn’t...

Skating Again
Went skating with Zhiela and Loise the other week. Pretty happy that some of my close friends are starting to get into Longboarding lately, which really helped me get back to it as well. I really do miss it, but I still need to fix up my board (and kind of get over my trauma from my battle scar HAHA)
Regardless, nothing can compare to the bliss I enjoy when I skate. Been skating again recently,...

My First Climb: Mt. Batulao
Nothing else can compare to the satisfaction you feel after climbing your first mountain. For the longest time, I’ve been wanting to climb mountains - and now that I finally did, there’s no turning back. Here’s to the FIRST OF MANY! :-)
An Unexpected Journey: Ara’s Hobbit Adventures HAHAHA!
Climbing a mountain for the first time is definitely an exhilarating...

Larsian, Cebu
Had delicious lunch in this area before we headed for the Sinulog festival. I enjoyed it so much. And I was happy cause it only cost me 200, it was so sulit! Ate alot in Cebu, was not able to document the rest like when we went Island Hopping on the second day, we had grilled seafood and whatnot. IT WAS AMAZING. And Cebu Lechon of course. SO HAPPY.

Calatagan
Spent a few days in my friend’s beach house along with our other friends. Had a pretty great time. Sad I didn’t get to explore though! There was prawn farm in our area, lots of mangroves, and all that. It would have been nice.

Taken right after our photoshoot in Mahogany park. Was just so enchanted to see all those Christmas lights up in one of my favorite parks in the city. It was beautiful. :-)

Was so bummed out I couldn’t make it to the St. James Bazaar this year, so I dragged Dan to watch the Lights & Sounds show at Ayala Triangle with me during our BFF hang out night. Of course, this has been a Christmas tradition for me ever since 4th year. Couldn’t eat in Omakase, or any of the restaurants in the park after so we settled for Cafe Breton. I forgot what I ordered,...

anawangin cove adventures
traveling with strangers at night, venturing off into an unknown place awaiting us almost 5 hours away. from taft, we took the LRT (carrying all our heavy bags) and got off at Monumento, arrived at the victory liner bus terminal to catch our 9PM trip to Zambales.
Arrived at around 2 in the morning, found tricycles that would drop us off at the shore, and took a boat to Anawangin Cove. It was...

meet me at the skyline
Discovered this wonderful view from our condominium’s penthouse the other night when I was supposed to work out. So much for that, I just ended up taking pictures of the skyline. It was beautiful. You could see everything from up there! It really made me miss living in Makati though. :(

halloween 2012.
halloween this year wasn’t quite as eventful as the last, but it was still fun! didn’t get to go trick or treating since I had night classes. I was still able to celebrate halloween in Fiamma with old friends though (tradition!) and halloween night itself at Gab’s party.
Took zero pictures in fiamma, barely any at Gab’s since I arrived late but whatever. I was too busy...

Quiet Weekend
Went on a quiet getaway to Tagaytay over the weekend with the family. The engaged couple (my brother and his fiance) had to do some food tasting in the reception place so we joined in! It was amusing to be sort of a connoisseur for a day! We stayed overnight in Summit Ridge. All we did was bum around in our hoodies, beanies, and socks, stuff our tummies with alot of food, get massages, watch alot...

I was so delighted to find a new ferriswheel erected by the bay in Mall of Asia. How wonderful to see the sunset in Manila bay on a ferriswheel! I could already feel the christmas air. :)

cheers to the weekend
After a very stressful week, I was able to spend some time with my lovely friend, Andy, and party the night away. I deserved it. I had a week full of all nighters and barely any rest. School’s been stressful, while alot of my friends from outside are on their sembreak.
Got to thank Timmy for the awesome party in Republiq! Realized how much of a lola I’ve become since college, and it...

surf & skate shop
was able to sneak in a little skate session last week, after me & nellie attended this orientation about our Global Exchange Program in Europe (major stoked for this one!). Anyhoo, we got to skate in our spot in Forbes, and brought the rest of our skater friends there! Barely skated but it was good to be back on the board after 3 weeks! But before getting there, we had a mini spontaneous...

life as we know it.
sorry for the lack of updates, i haven’t really been taking pictures. these are just random things from the past few weeks.
made my first own pub for our batch government! really happy with how it turned out, considering how much of a Photoshop noob I am. My chairpersons were glad about my work so they assigned me to make a new one (and told me to make more in the future). Guess I’m...

gold in the air of summer
“One day,” you said to me, “I saw the sunset forty-four times!” And a little later you added: “You know—one loves the sunset, when one is so sad …” “Were you so sad, then?” I asked, “on the day of the forty-four sunsets?” But the little prince made no reply.
I don’t know what’s wrong with me lately. I...

conversations with the sky
Moved to Taft 2 weeks ago. Everything is in its’ right place. What I really love about the new place though is that I get to watch the sunrise/sunset in my balcony. It’s amazing. We never really had a window in our old place, which really made moving here a refreshing change of scenery for me.
I go to my balcony sometimes to think or to pray, to have peaceful and quiet conversations...

old pine (a photo diary)
We stood Steady as the stars in the woods So happy-hearted And the warmth rang true inside these bones As the old pine fell we sang Just to bless the morning.
Hot sand on toes, cold sand in sleeping bags, I’ve come to know the friends around you Are all you’ll always have Smoke in my lungs, or the echoed stone Careless and young, free as the birds that fly With weightless souls now.

Going to start using Photoshop to post process my pictures again. Honestly haven’t used photoshop in like….. 4 years or so. I pretty much forgot about everything I learned so I need to start brushing up on it again.
Anyways, these are pictures from Andy’s birthday today. I haven’t gone to using actions yet, so I just played around with the pictures. LANA DEL REY AND MARINA...
